Forthcoming Events

GECAG generally holds two or three workshops or demonstrations each year and occasional fundraising events. Please find below the program of Paint-outs which are available for all to participate in free of charge. Please see below for details of the paint-outs and upcoming workshops.

Paint Out Program

The GECAG Paint-outs take place on the second Saturday of each month. The meeting time is 10.00am and we paint until 12.00. The paint out is often followed by a visit to a local cafĂ©. Participation in the Paint-outs is free. Please register your participation on Trybooking by 6.00pm on the Friday before the scheduled paint-out.

Paint out Program

Creative Workshop

with Natalie Fernandez

Monday January 19th - Tuesday January 20th

10.00am  - 4.00pm

In this workshop you will make up your own palette of textured paper using a gelli press, to create a painting using paper instead of paint. The paintings will be created by layering different tones of paper over each other to create rich layers of intense and beautiful colour culminating in a still life or landscape.

Palette Knife Workshop

with Claire McCall

Wednesday 21st January 

10.00am - 4.00pm

Create bold light-filled impressionist paintings with palette knife and Claire McCall. Get ready to take your art tothe next level with this relased and informative studio workshop. This workshop is best suited to internediate artists, but its not necessary to have palette knife experience.
